ARM 200 Adsorbents

BASF ARM 200 adsorbents remove Arsenic from water more efficiently and cost effectively than existing products.

In laboratory tests, ARM 200 demonstrated six to eight times the Arsenic capacity versus traditional adsorbents. Unlike some traditional water-purification technologies, it does not require high capital investment or create an Arsenic disposal problem.

ARM 200 is the latest innovation to arise from BASF sorbent media technology platform. It was developed to help smaller water systems meet a new US EPA drinking water standard for Arsenic, which took effect in January 2006. The material is ideal for column applications including POU/POE sumps and larger commercial POE systems.

Tests have shown that BASF ARM 200 can remove more than 99% of dissolved Arsenic even in the presence of competing ions. It also can remove both Pentavalent (As+5) and Trivalent (As+3) without pre-oxidation or pre-treatment.

BASF ARM 200 adsorbents are available in granular form for bed or column applications, and in a powder form for incorporation into block-type POU/POE filter systems for residential, commercial or industrial settings.
