In the USA, the EPA has tightened restrictions for allowable limits at a much lower threshold. This means wells and small purifying systems must reach new levels of performance cost feasibly.

Dissolved Arsenic typically comes in two forms: Trivalent As⁺³ and Pentavalent As⁺⁵. There are many technologies on the market that reduce Arsenic. Some are limited by requirements of pre-oxidizing steps. Or they are not selective enough to target Arsenic in the presence of other ions.
