Arsenic Reduction Media
Around the world — from rural regions of the United States, pockets of Europe, and broad areas of Asia — Arsenic poisoning is a very real issue in drinking water applications. In the USA, the EPA has tightened restrictions for allowable limits at a much lower threshold. This means wells and small purifying systems must reach new levels of performance cost feasibly.
Dissolved Arsenic typically comes in two forms: Trivalent As+3 and Pentavalent As+5. There are many technologies on the market that reduce Arsenic. Some are limited by requirements of pre-oxidizing steps. Or they are not selective enough to target Arsenic in the presence of other ions. Surfatas is familiar with all of the available technologies, and offers one that we believe deliver the best results. Arsenic reduction usually requires an understanding of the system as well as the media.
Surfatas offers proprietary materials to adsorb Arsenic. They are available in forms that allow for bed, column, or block usage. We also provide a new, patented ion-exchange treatment on an activated carbon substrate, allowing for remarkable performance as well as decolorization attributes.
