AquaFix® Media

AquaFix® material combines the best of two attributes — broad-spectrum metal adsorption with activated carbon familiarity. Utilizing a patented three-phase process, the granular media reduces dissolved metals from either high or low concentrations, with ion exchange resin kinetics and capacities. It begins with the adsorption of contaminates onto the media surface, then absorption into the media, and then chemisorption by ion exchange and chelation. Meanwhile the GAC substrate retains excellent organic contaminant absorption capability. In space constrained granular applications, the material provides a high performance alternative for reducing organics like Atrazine, Lindane, Chlorine, Toxaphene, 2,4-D as well as the targeted Lead, Mercury, Cadmium, or Arsenic, Perchlorates, Fluorides, and Nitrates.

AquaFix® media will not leach Alumina, adsorbed or organic contaminants and has met EPA TCLP requirements for landfills. It is currently used in ANSI/NSF53 claim certified column applications. It may be regenerated or processed in typical Carbon reactivation processes.
